Shared hosting plans---What to know about MySQL Processes and WordPress

Shared hosting plans---What to know about MySQL Processes and WordPress

WordPress is very intensive on using MySql for all its database needs.  Most Web hosting companies put a limit on your MySql process usage.  When you hit that limit or processes get 'stuck' - You may see a 403 or 500 error on your Web page.
Sometimes certain WordPress plugins will get 'locked up' in the MySql process usage and cause problems.
In most cases, disabling this plugin or removing this plugin completely will help.

How do you know which plugin is causing the problem?
Well - that's the number one question.

My suggestion is to search Google for:   your plugin + problem or + mysql usage

Good Luck and this has just been a quick tip for you!

Comprehensive guide to .htaccess- intro

An htaccess file is a simple ASCII file, such as you would create through a text editor like NotePad or SimpleText. Many people seem to have some confusion over the naming convention for the file, so let me get that out of the way.
.htaccess is the file extension. It is not file.htaccess or somepage.htaccess, it is simply named .htaccess
